How to customize Quest Home in 2024?
Step1
Open the Meta Horizon App on your phone
Go to
Menu>Devices>Your Quest>Headset settings>Developer mode
and enable Developer Mode
Step2
Put on your headset, go to Settings>System>Developer
and Enable Custom Settings.
Step3
Go to the Meta Store, search and download Moon Portal (formally Moon VR Home).
Step4
Go to this website⬇️
https://moonvrhome.com/download
then download Moon VR Home Installer
After the download is complete, you will have an APK file on your PC.
Step5
Go to the SideQuest offical website⬇️
https://sidequestvr.com
and download the SideQuest Advanced Installer, then install the SideQuest Advanced Installer on your PC
Step6
Connect your headset to your PC using a data cable.
Then, run SideQuest on your PC.
Return to your headset, and a pop-up will appear.
Click “Allow.”
Step7
Go back to SideQuest and click on “Install APK file from folder on computer” button in the top right corner.
Select the Moon VR Home installer APK file you just downloaded in step4.
Please wait patiently for the installation to complete (it may take several seconds).
Note:
If you encounter difficulties at this step, such as receiving an “Unauthorized” message, try restarting both your PC and headset.
After the installation is successful, you will find
Moon VR Home Installer in App Library>Unknown Sources
Step8
Go back to your headset, open Moon Portal (formally Moon VR Home)
(not Moon VR Home Installer!!!)
In Moon VR Home, you can browse and preview the custome homes, and you can also generate your custome homes using AI.
Final step
Find your preferred custom home, click Add to list at the bottom, then click the button in the lower right corner, and select Download all.
Allow, allow, allow—no matter what pop-up appears, just allow it!
Close Moon VR Home, go to settings>personalization>virtual environments, find the custom homes you just downloaded
